Specimen Requirements

Urine, Random

Container: Leakproof plastic urine container

Specimen Collection: 10 mL (minimum 2 mL)

Collect a random urine specimen.
Aliquot 10 mL of a random urine specimen.
Protect from light.
Store and transport refrigerated.

Specimen Transport/Stability

Refrigerated: 2 days

Specimen Rejection

1. Specimens that have been at room temperature longer than 2 hours
